NAMELESS FRIENDS ARE READY TO MAKE SERIOUS NOISE ACROSS THE UK
UK Tour Beginning 4th July + Deluxe Album Announce
WATCH ‘CLASSIC PROTAGONIST ‘LIVE
Canadian rockers Nameless Friends are thrilled to announce their first-ever UK tour, aptly named the 'Cross The Pond' tour, kicking off in Leeds on July 4th. This tour comes hot on the heels of their explosive 2023 debut album, ‘Blasphemy’ and promises to deliver the female-fronted, queer-inclusive band’s politically charged, high-energy performances to a new audience. Described as modern glam, prog punk, metal-adjacent, and “hysterical pussy shit”, Nameless Friends are ready to make some serious noise across the UK.
The tour supports the upcoming release of the deluxe version of their debut LP, ‘Blasphemy’ Originally conceived as a protest album addressing pressing issues like right-wing bigotry, gendered violence, climate change, and economic inequality, this deluxe edition is a heartfelt tribute to their devoted fan base. During the Blasphemy release tour, the band received overwhelming feedback that their live performances often eclipsed the studio recordings. To capture that raw energy, they've doubled the album, featuring live versions of the original tracks.
In addition to these live renditions, the deluxe edition includes a brand new track titled ‘MEZZANINE’. This track, an inside joke named after the band’s debut EP due to their distaste for title tracks, delves into the twisted nature of performance through the lens of a campy opera. It's the most commercial, hard rock-breakdown banger of all the Blasphemy-era songs. Fans will also enjoy single mixes of the first two singles, ‘7 Years of Blood’ and ‘Sympathy for Lilith’, providing a unique listening experience for those who appreciate the nuanced differences in production.
Nameless Friends, a unique force in the rock scene, eschews traditional stage names in favour of stage numbers, reflecting their commitment to collective identity and egalitarian ethos. The core lineup includes Number One (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Number Three (lead guitar and backing vocals), Number Five (bass), and Number Seven (drums). Their extended group features Number Four (a retired drummer appearing in videos), Number Six (a keyboardist vital during the Blasphemy era), and Number Two (a backup bassist and live sound engineer aiming for full-time membership).
Catch Nameless Friends live across the UK from July 4th (dates and tickets below) and experience the power of ‘Blasphemy’ in its most raw and unfiltered form. The deluxe edition of ‘Blasphemy’ will be available in September offering fans an expanded and intensified version of their mind-blowing debut.
