That’s Just Who I Am

26 July 2024

I met a talented songwriter from Cambridge called Rachel Hill. For our first session, our conversation consisted in talking about how difficult it is to be a female independent artist in the industry, and spoke about a countless number of unpleasant experiences we had faced as a result of it. This song is journey, meant to depict how all of these tribulations can be worked through with resilience and courage. Personally, moving to the Uk for the first time last year was a daunting experience, especially as a teenager. Reaching that level of independence in all of things outside of music was rough at first, but extremely liberating. This song reflects that, and is a positive affirmation that is pertinent to anyone no matter their stage in life.
