Chicago-based garage rock duo wht.rbbt.obj (pronounced "White Rabbit Object") is set to release their latest single, "Unlucky 13." Originally written in early 2019, "Unlucky 13" was the first song the band ever created together, marking the beginning of their journey. The married couple, Frank and River, who had previously made a "no comment" rule on each other's music, broke that silence when River insisted on improving a bass riff Frank had been working on. This moment of creative collaboration sparked the birth of "Unlucky 13," which was initially demoed and aired on Chicago’s WKQX Q101 within weeks. Since then, wht.rbbt.obj has released multiple singles and two EPs to critical acclaim. Now, the duo has revisited and perfected "Unlucky 13," bringing the track back to its rightful place at the forefront of their catalog.  "Unlucky 13" releases on October 25, 2024.

Lauded by Rolling Stone for their "late-night decadence and velvet tones," wht.rbbt.obj started as a covert side project by married couple Frank and River Rabbitte and has evolved into their primary creative outlet and grown into a 4-piece tour de force, blending enigmatic themes with bold, blues and soul-infused rock. Described as "Bluesy, Smoky, Sexy, and Raw," the band defies genres with a sound that has been likened to "Amy Winehouse meets The Black Keys in a game of strip poker" by James Van Osdol of WKQX's Car Con Carne, and "Heavily distorted roadhouse raunch" by NPR's Greg Kot of Sound Opinions. The band has played festivals like SXSW and Summerfest in Milwaukee, as well as a number of local street festivals.  They have opened for bands like Moon Walker, Eve6, and Mom Rock; and have done some regional touring, hitting: Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, Detroit, Louisville, Nashville, Davenport, Memphis, Richmond, Dallas, Waco and Austin.
