Robert Silvester
Hollow Bones
14 August 2024
Robert Silvester is a UK singer songwriter based in Exeter in Devon, he is also the drummer in the digital post punk band Trummerkind.
A versatile musician whose unique style seamlessly blends various musical genres.
Endowed with creative and complex ideas that he simulates within his post-punk and Elecronic soundscapes; leaving always space for experiment and exploration. The results are an intuitively surreal atmosphere that lingers long after the songs are over.
"Hollow Bones" is inspired by the overwhelming emptiness experienced in a one-sided, parasitic relationship. The song captures the feeling of distant echoes and melancholic strums of acoustic guitar mingled with rustic drums, creating a symphony of contrasting sounds that illustrate this emotional struggle. Drawing inspiration from artists like The The, Radiohead, and Morcheeba, the song blends electronica and downtempo mystery to craft a unique musical experience.
