A Different Kitchen

Denouement

15 November 2024

A Different Kitchen, a psychedelic project seemingly fuelled by grief, loss and a general distasteof modern society. Emerging from Norfolk’s quiet back country, the trio began making noise - where alt-indie meets post-punk. With band members now spread from London to Sheffield, the group have migrated their sound throughout the UK; with their debut single, I'm Fine I'm Fine, featured by Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6 Music and Christian Carlisle on BBC Introducing in Sheffield.

A Different Kitchen write music for live consumption. The group creates a unique experience to leave a long-lasting impact on their audience, through extreme dynamics, unsettling chord voicings and raw emotion. Music should always be about feeling. A Different Kitchen embrace this to bring their listeners on a journey, connecting with people through real experiences and

interactions. Thoughtfully crafted lyrics and harmony gives the band an outlet to express their own vulnerabilities as individuals on stage and in the studio, creating an art piece that remains as fragile as the source from which it was conceptualised.

We often feel introverted and detached from life. The Norfolk-born trio use their shows to open up and let audiences share small moments on a personal level, something that is difficult to achieve in the fast-paced society we live in. After spending the back end of 2023 developing and refining their music in the studio, the band are ready to share a more emotive and personal group of songs throughout 2024, in an intense expression of vulnerability.

A Different Kitchen are releasing their debut EP, “Denouement”, on Friday 15th November 2024. This body of work consists of 5 heavy-hitting tracks, exploring the emotional unhinge of a pained human mind. In an unsettling release of personal grief,

“Denouement” is an outlet for the trio to express their own vulnerabilities as individuals. Through sharing

experiences, A Different Kitchen have created an art piece that remains as fragile as the source from which it was conceptualised.

Following 2 early singles in 2024, the trio will be releasing their final single from the EP on Friday 18th October, with an aim to reach new audiences, engage existing listeners and build momentum into the full EP release in November.
