The Howling Faith is a female-fronted rock trio based out of Los Angeles, California. The band’s music is a meshing of styles that’s hard to “genre-lize” - jangly surf/punk guitars, bass driven hooks, tribal beats, and sultry vocals that call to mind Los Aterciopelados + Chrissie Hynde + Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys). But of course no one creates in a vacuum and they draw inspiration from musical heroes such as X, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, REM, The Pretenders, PJ Harvey, The Ventures, and Tom Petty. The Howling Faith is fronted by Laura Sanchez Ishida on vocals and bass, with Danny Rodarte on guitar and Tom King on drums.
