ABOUT US

OUR STORY
Back in 2010, frustrated that the music he loved was being overlooked by mainstream media our founder Mark Knight launched the RCM Blog.

OUR VISION
To get incredible music heard by more people, more often. We borrow best practice brand marketing principles and apply them to band and artist marketing.

OUR APPROACH
We question, challenge and positively disrupt. We're firm believers in the idea that just because it's worked before doesn't mean it will work again. We show up and mean it.
THE RCM INDIE COLLECTIVE
We're now inviting our favourite new music champions to access our submissions database. Now one submission to Right Chord Music could result in support from multiple blogs, playlists or even Soho Radio air time. The RCM Indie Collective was founded in 2020 to further support musicians during the Pandemic and will continue to grow.

OUR FOUNDER
Mark Knight has over 10 years experience as an artist manager. His work with The Daydream Club was recognised with a nomination for Best Digital Campaign at The Music Ally Awards (the only unsigned artist to be nominated). Mark has lectured on music marketing at Cannes Lions, MIDEM, Off The Record and Liverpool Sound City, written for The Guardian, Unsigned Guide, Reverbnation, Music Think Tank and judged the Music Week Awards. In 2016 Mark accepted an audacious challenge, to break an unsigned band in just 10 weeks without using radio or press. The band are now signed to Universal Music. For the last 19 years Mark has also consulted for some of the world's biggest brands including evian, Nivea and Vodafone.
